The most recognized service that Warner & Company provides is individual tax return preparation. Although the majority of our clients reside in New Jersey, our staff is familiar with many other states' laws, especially Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Tax returns are prepared on our computers using the most up-to-date software packages. This allows us to have most returns completed within two to three weeks after your initial appointment and enables us to prepare tax projections before the end of the year. Tax projections are vital to individuals making decisions that will affect their taxes. The projections calculate expected tax liability so that we can advise our clients if any additional tax payments are required.
Not only do we prepare tax returns accurately and efficiently, but we also review each client's information to ensure that they pay the minimum tax within the Internal Revenue Service regulations. We are available for tax consultations during evenings and weekends, as a convenience to our clients.
Warner & Company prepares corporate and partnership tax returns for a great number and wide variety of clients. In addition to preparing tax returns, we help business owners with tax planning and other important issues.
In the diverse world of business, some companies find it difficult to manage all of the many functions required to run their businesses. Wouldn't it help you to rely on a trusted and accessible business partner to handle your payroll? Allow us to take care of your payroll needs from issuing the payroll checks to filing the necessary tax returns.
ESOPs, litigation support, mergers and acquisitions, divorce settlements, buy - sell agreements... In these cases, you need to know what your business is worth. Rely on our firm to assist you through these difficult processes. We will do a comprehensive analysis that can help you make informed decisions.
Third parties relying on your financial statements often require an audit for assurance. In order to conduct an audit, we examine your company's financial statements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. An audit requires us to examine internal controls and to complete substantial testing of the information underlying the financial statements. We then document our opinion as to whether the statements are fairly presented in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles.
Warner & Company has provided accounting and audit services to numerous non-profit organizations, business entities, and pension plans over the years. Non-profit organizations may need audit services if it receives funds from other organizations. Audits are also required if revenues exceed certain Internal Revenue Service Guidelines. Organizations receiving more than $50,000 will also require Internal Revenue Service reporting. Pension plans also may need audited financial statements if the plan contains more than one hundred participants.
Many of our clients need financial statements, but do not necessarily require them to be audited. In these situations, we prepare either compiled or reviewed financial statements. These statements are usually sufficient to meet the needs of lenders and other potential users. However, since we are not required to provide full assurance on the statements, it takes less time to prepare them, thus reducing the fees.

Many of our clients own real estate for rentals and/or investment purposes. Our role is informing our clients as to what expenses are deductible, computing depreciation expense, if appreciable, and determining the taxable gain or loss when the property is sold.
The Death Tax lives, therefore, many individuals still need to properly plan to ensure the majority of their estate will be passed onto their beneficiaries, rather than the Internal Revenue Service or State Tax Department. Determining whether a person should increase their annual gift giving or create a special trust to receive their estate assets should be reviewed on an individual basis.
Our number one objective is to assist our clients in ensuring their estate assets are transferred to the beneficiaries as desired. Once this is accomplished, we then will create a plan to make the transfer of assets as tax favorable as possible.
